THE BOOK: Johannes Brahms - The Piano Work

I am especially pleased to recommend Andrea Bonatta's book “Johannes Brahms – Das Klavierwerk” , which I my opinion in worthy of translation into English and of publication in English speaking countries throughout the world.
This is an original and in-depth book written in a flowing, catchy style. It makes fascinating reading and every chapter and page are thought and interest stimulating.
Only someone who has played all these works with their own fingers can know them and live then “from within” – can arrive at the secret of the creation at Andrea Bonatta's level.
To this must be added the musicologic-research dimension, present at the pinnacle in this book.
I enjoyed every moment spent reading this book and learned many new facts while being introduced anew to “old” points presented in a new light.
To the best of my knowledge, there is no similar or such high level book in the world literature, and I am confident that its translation into English will constitute a cultural contribution and asset to any pianist, musician and music lover.

Si può affermare senza esagerazione che il maestro Bonatta conosca a fondo ogni nota del corpus pianistico brahmsiano. Lo dimostra la sua eccellente incisione dell’opera completa di Brahms per pianoforte solo. Bonatta è uno dei pochi pianisti che non solo suonano bene, ma scrivono anche bene.
